Renny W. Grilz, PAg is the 2024 Nuffield Canada Agriculture Scholar, focusing on native seed networks and seedbanking to expand the native seed industry in Western Canada. With over 30 years of experience in conservation across the three prairie provinces, Renny and his wife Lisa are the owners of Blazing Star Wildflower Seed Company, a family business dedicated to growing and promoting native plants. Renny has worked extensively on ecological restoration, native seed production, and developing sustainable land management practices. Renny is passionate about the role of native plants in conservation, landscaping and gardening.

Trent Brown has worked in the landscape design and installation industry for over 15 years and worked on hundreds of residential projects. He began behind a shovel, learning the ins and outs of the construction side of the industry before completing his schooling in landscape design. After a decade in the industry, he founded Ground Break Design in 2020 which has grown into an award-winning landscape design firm featured on Global News and in the Vancouver Sun.
